Birds

Shannon and I were driving to Detroit today and we were talking and all the sudden I saw what looked like a bird with a really long tail walking across the 8-lane freeway. I yelled, “watch out” and Shannon swerved and missed what she later said she had thought was a pheasant or something. As she swerved, we realized that it was a (very, very stupid) mama duck with her little ducklings.
I didn’t want to look, but Shannon kept watching in the rearview, and the last we saw them, they had made it safely across the 4 northbound lanes, but still had to cross the southbound lanes.
I hope they made it.
Man. It’s so odd you mentioned birds.
Brett and I played Lord of the Rings Online for a bit tonight, and there was a part we had all these birds come at us and we had to kill them.
Which made me think of the fact that I haven’t ever seen Alfred Hitchcock’s movie The Birds.
And then I saw your post titled “Birds”.
And now I’m all weirded out!
