Malawi-bound?

Posted By on March 25, 2009

All y’all health 2009 people are probably getting a bit anxious at this point. Relax.

One of the best posts I’ve seen about what to bring is here. I disagree with some of it, but we all disagree about what is necessary and what isn’t. Everything depends onĀ  what support you’ve got back home and where you’ll be here in country, and, and, and,

If you are coming to Malawi as a nurse of the RN-type nature, I highly recommend talking to me. Not because it’s a bad deal (it isn’t: I love it) but because it’s different than the typical PC Health experience, and we felt a little unprepared. And I’d like to help.

So, yeah, that’s all.

I guess in order to come to Malawi as an RN, you actually have to be trained first, huh?

Generally that’s recommended, yes.
