- The patient should stop completely drinking alcohol to prevent liver damage. The patient should use alcohol supplements which can be given from the hospitals if this can be possible.
- If it is acute cirrhosis, the patient should stop taking alcohol. If it is chronic cirrhosis, the patient should not stop taking alcohol since the condition needs alcohol dependency,
